A lot of vitamins that are available in the market claim that they are all Organic Vitamin C natural and organic but then we really cannot test if they are telling the complete truth. It would be important to know that not all vitamins are all natural. In fact, some are made and produced in labs. This would of course create differences with your health because all organic vitamins are still healthier than synthetic ones.
A lot of packages that are available in supermarkets have the label “vitamin enriched” or “vitamin fortified”. Most if not all the time, these foods are made with non organic vitamins. These products are specifically made by the companies with extra vitamins to make them more appealing to health conscious costumers.
Do remember that even though a lot of effort has been done to imitate the real organic stuff, the way the body will react to the products will still be different. Also remember that the amount of vitamins placed in food products might be too much for you and in the long run can lead to negative side effects. It is possible that you wouldn’t see at first the effects but then in the future you might feel other side effects.
Organic vitamins can provide you with the proper amount of vitamins you need and that is good to know especially if you are health conscious and you would like to make sure that you are getting just the right amount of nutrients that you need.
Do remember that the best way to really become healthy is research about the food that you eat. Organic foods and vitamins are still better than non organic ones because you’ll get a varied supply of healthy and natural ingredients that will give you more benefits next time. The body will surely be happier if it is strong and healthy.
A form of supplement many companies have started experimenting with is by doing liquid vitamins and minerals supplements. The goal of these is that you basically ingest a vitamin supplement that does not have any added material in order for all the components to be glued together. The supplement is thus more pure and this often is referred to as a more organic vitamin supplement.
It is important to know that 95% of supplements on the market are synthetic, i.e. they are created in a lab. The other 5% are organic whole food supplements and are simply food in concentrated form.
There is a subtle but crucial difference between synthetic supplements, organic vitamins and whole food supplements. Supplements and/or vitamins, neither synthetic no organic, were intended to be taken in isolation.
A great example of a whole food supplement is acerola cherry powder. The acerola cherry is a rich source of Vitamin C. Basically, the cherries are dried and crushed to create a powder which is mixed into water or juice. As far as your body is concerned you are eating handful of cherries which are full of Vitamin C!
Most of us know that the orange is a great food source of Vitamin C. The reason is that every other substance in the orange works synergistically with the Vitamin C in the body for maximum absorption. A plain Vitamin C tablet usually does not contain these other ‘co-factors’ which allow your body to reap maximum benefit.
Generally, if we are eating a well rounded diet of veggies, fruits, grains, legumes, dairy, eggs, and meats and avoiding white sugar, processed products and denatured foods then we should be getting all of the vitamins we need.
The reality is that most of us are not doing this and even if we were we would probably not be getting what we need. Why not?
First of all, each person has different vitamin requirements based on their genetics, diet, lifestyle and environmental stress load. Believe it or not genetics can play a role in how much say, Vitamin A, you require. Even if you have a wonderful diet full of whole unprocessed foods…
much of the soil on our farmlands has been so depleted that what looks like spinach in 2008 probably bears little resemblance nutritionally to spinach from 1950.
The caveat to this, of course, is produce that is grown organically
In this modern era of focus on diet and nutrition…whole foods, organics and supplements have become buzz words. It is all at once easy to get hopelessly confused or to completely ignore the overload of information on the subject of vitamins both in food and in supplement form.
It becomes counterproductive to over think your nutritional and vitamin intake, but it is also unwise to ignore it. While we can live without enough of a certain vitamin for a while, in the long term a vitamin deficiency is a precursor to all sorts of health problems.
For example, Vitamin D deficiency is being linked to cancer, heart disease, susceptibility to colds and flus and a host of other problems. Most people who eat a typical American diet tend to be deficient somewhere.
Another factor that depletes our vitamin stores is stress, a.k.a. a lack of sleep, busy hectic lifestyle, lack of exercise and toxins in our homes and environment. So what about taking vitamins and supplements and even more important, why should you take an organic vitamin?
A high-quality, organic, vitamin supplement made from food can be a wonderful way to ensure that your body is getting what it needs. Granted supplements are not a substitute for a quality diet rich in whole foods, they can be a wise addition to any diet. A good quality organic vitamin or supplement has the power to help your body heal through an illness or simply to act as an insurance policy of sorts to prevent future illness.
If you want to ensure that you are getting maximum nutrition, then you should make sure that you are taking a vitamin supplement. However, not all supplements are created equal. Organic vitamin supplements can offer you far better health outcomes than regular or synthetic vitamins.
The American Medical Association is now recommending that people take a vitamin supplement in addition to what they get from their diets. The main reasons for this are that much of the food these days is grown in ground that is mineral deficient thus making our foods deficient as well.
On top of this, many people are consuming diets that are too high in artificial ingredients and food that is usually processed.
Your body can absorb organic vitamin supplements more easily and more quickly than synthetic. These kinds of vitamins (organic) are more bio-available than other kinds, which means they can be readily absorbed and your body does not have to work as hard to break them down and use them
By taking organic vitamins, you are going to feel a lot better as you will have a lot more energy and better resistance to illnesses. Your long-term health will also be better protected and you may be able to avoid lifestyle illnesses such as cancer or diabetes. Aesthetically you might also look better with clearer, younger looking skin and shiny hair.
Organic vitamins should be free of synthetic chemicals and dyes, which can cause damage to your body. Artificial ingredients can make your body produce free radicals and toxins, which can lead to cancers and other diseases. By minimizing the amount of artificial additives and ingredients that you put into your body, you can maximize your overall health.
There are now clinical studies that show that taking organic vitamins over other kinds of vitamins is beneficial. Vitamins and foods that have been organically produced are much better for you and will bring you the best health outcomes. They will give you much more energy and you will feel much better knowing that you are doing all you can to get the proper nutrition.
People who want to protect their health and ensure that they enjoy a high level of health long into the future, should make sure that they are taking organic vitamin supplements and minerals. There is increasing recognition that organic foods and vitamins can provide a much better level of health than regular vitamins and foods.
